Terms of use
Last updated 31 October 2026
Please read these terms before creating an account. By creating an account or booking through LaBuddy, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use LaBuddy.
1. About LaBuddy
LaBuddy runs an app and website (together, the "Platform") that connects customers with independent laundromats in Baguio City ("Laundromats"). Through the Platform you can book a Laundromat to pick up your laundry and deliver it back, or to receive laundry you drop off and collect yourself. The Laundromat you book does the washing and is responsible for that service and for your items while they are in its care. LaBuddy runs the Platform, verifies Laundromats before they can take bookings, handles bookings and payments records, and helps sort out problems.
Contact us at support@labuddy.app, or in the app under Account, Help center, Message LaBuddy.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract.
- Give a real email address, which you verify with a code, and a mobile number where the Laundromat can reach you. Keep them up to date.
- You can also book as a guest, with only your name, mobile number and address. A guest can have one order at a time, the Laundromat may call or text to confirm it, and LaBuddy promos, LaBuddy Plus and invite rewards need a full account. Guest orders can be followed only on the phone they were booked on.
- One account per person. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else is using it.
- You can delete your account at any time; see how to delete your account.
3. What you may not do
- use the Platform against any law or regulation, or for fake or joke bookings;
- make several accounts, or use someone else's, to get discounts, vouchers or invite rewards again;
- harass, threaten or abuse Laundromat staff, riders, other customers or LaBuddy staff;
- post reviews that are false, about orders you did not make, offensive, or that contain other people's personal details, links or advertising;
- impersonate anyone, or give false information;
- copy, change, take apart or overload the Platform, or try to reach parts of it or other people's data you are not allowed to; or
- use the Platform to contact Laundromats in order to avoid paying for a booking made through it.
We may remove content, cancel orders, take back discounts or suspend accounts that break these rules.
4. What you can send
Please do not send:
- anything dangerous, illegal, or soaked in fuel, solvents, chemicals, blood or other hazardous material;
- valuables, money, documents, cards, phones or jewellery (check all pockets; Laundromats are not responsible for items left in them);
- items heavily soiled by animals or with pests; or
- items labelled "dry clean only", leather, silk, wool, beaded or other delicate items, unless the Laundromat offers that service and you choose it or note it when booking.
A Laundromat may refuse or return items that are unsafe or that it cannot wash. Some fabrics naturally shrink, fade or run colours; please separate items that need care and tell the Laundromat in the notes.
5. Bookings and prices
- When you book, you give an estimate (for example, how many kilos). The price at checkout is an estimate.
- After pickup or drop-off, the Laundromat weighs or counts your laundry, sends you a photo of the scale, and enters the real amount. You pay the final price based on it. Services with a minimum (for example, 3 kg) are charged at least that minimum.
- The total shows each part: the laundry price, any discounts, the delivery fee (none if you drop off and collect), and LaBuddy's service fee. Prices are set by each Laundromat and are in Philippine pesos.
- A booking is confirmed when the Laundromat accepts it. A Laundromat may decline a booking, and you are told why. Laundromats may limit bookings per day, and same-day pickups.
6. Cancelling
- You can cancel a booking in the app until the Laundromat accepts it, at no cost.
- After it is accepted, message the Laundromat or LaBuddy. Once your laundry has been picked up or dropped off, it can usually only be returned after it has been weighed and paid for.
- LaBuddy may cancel orders when it reasonably suspects fraud or misuse.
7. Pickup, drop-off and delivery
- Pickup and delivery: please be available at your address during the time you chose, with your laundry ready and your claim code. If no one can be reached for 15 minutes, the rider may leave and the booking may be cancelled or moved to another time.
- Drop off and collect: bring your laundry to the Laundromat at the time you chose. Collect it once you are told it is ready, during the Laundromat's opening hours, with your claim code.
- Unclaimed laundry: if laundry is not collected, or cannot be delivered because you cannot be reached, within 30 days after it is ready, and after reminders, the Laundromat may donate or dispose of it.
- Times are estimates and may change because of weather, traffic or how busy the Laundromat is.
8. Paying
- Pay the Laundromat in cash when your laundry is delivered or collected, or by GCash to the Laundromat after it confirms the final price, uploading the receipt in the app. You can switch before you pay.
- The Laundromat confirms when it has received your payment; your receipt is in Transaction history.
- If you do not pay for completed orders, we may limit how you can book in future.
9. Missing, wrong or damaged items, and refunds
- Check your laundry when you receive it. If something is missing, wrong or damaged, message LaBuddy in the app within 3 days, with your claim code and photos. We will look into it with the Laundromat.
- The Laundromat is responsible for items in its care. Where it is at fault, it will rewash, find or replace the item. If an item is lost or ruined, the Laundromat pays you the full price of the item: the price you paid for it, shown by a receipt or an online order, or, if you have none, the price of the same or a similar new item. A lower amount applies only if you agree to it.
- Laundromats are not responsible for items listed in section 4, normal wear, or shrinking or fading that the item's care label does not warn against.
- Refunds of amounts you paid by mistake or for a service that was not done are made by the Laundromat to your GCash or in cash, usually within 7 days after they are approved.
- Nothing in these terms takes away your rights under the Consumer Act of the Philippines.
10. Discounts, vouchers, invites and LaBuddy Plus
- Discounts and vouchers come off the laundry price, not the delivery or service fee, and have their own conditions shown in the app (for example, a minimum, first orders only, or an end date). They have no cash value, cannot be exchanged, and one LaBuddy promo and one Laundromat deal can be used per order.
- Invite rewards are for real new customers. The friend's voucher is for their first order; yours arrives when that order is delivered, up to a monthly limit.
- LaBuddy Plus is paid by GCash to LaBuddy, lasts for the days shown from when we confirm your payment, does not renew by itself and is not refunded once confirmed. Its benefits apply to bookings made while it runs.
- We may change or end promotions, and take back discounts gained by breaking these terms.
11. Reviews
You can review a Laundromat after your order. Reviews must be honest and about your own order. We may hide reviews that break section 3. Reviews are shown with your first name.
12. Laundromats
Laundromats are independent businesses, verified by LaBuddy with their business permit and BIR registration. They agree to separate partner terms, including their prices, LaBuddy's commission and monthly fees, and they are responsible for their service, prices, staff and riders. When they register, every Laundromat agrees to pay the full price of any customer's item it loses or ruins, as section 9 describes.
Laundromats can pay to appear in the Sponsored row at the top of the home screen; those listings are always labelled "Sponsored". The Top Laundromat badge cannot be bought: it is given automatically to laundromats with high ratings from enough reviews and few declined bookings. The normal list is sorted the way you choose (nearest, top rated or lowest price).
13. Our responsibility
We work to keep the Platform running, safe and accurate, but it is provided as it is and may sometimes be unavailable. As far as the law allows, LaBuddy is not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses, or for the Laundromats' service, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Your responsibility
You agree to cover LaBuddy's losses caused by your breaking these terms or the law, or by misusing the Platform.
15. LaBuddy's name and content
The LaBuddy name, logo, Labu the mascot, the app and the website belong to LaBuddy. You may use them only to use the Platform. By posting reviews or photos you let us show them on the Platform.
16. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used for fraud, or when the law requires, and tell you why unless the law does not allow it. You can stop using LaBuddy and delete your account at any time.
17. Changes
We may update these terms. We change the date at the top and tell you in the app before important changes take effect. Using LaBuddy after that means you accept the new terms.
18. Other terms
- Personal data is handled as our privacy policy describes.
- If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- We may transfer these terms to a company that takes over LaBuddy.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, and disputes are brought before the courts of Baguio City, without taking away your rights to go to consumer or other authorities.
- If these terms are translated, the English version applies.
